Courses at the Four Clocks

Learning Concepts Ltd offers a range of courses at The Four Clocks Centre on Newgate Street, Bishop Auckland. Current courses include Maths and English, IT and Food Hygiene. The surroundings are very informal – nothing like being at school – and you can help yourself to refreshments while you study.

Computer skills are fast becoming a fundamental part of daily life and sometimes the only way to apply for a job or to get important government information. IT skills are also becoming a big part of any job role, often being an essential skill when applying for jobs. Learning Concepts offer a Level 1 and Level 2 IT qualification free of charge for those who are currently unemployed and seeking employment.

Maths and English are now essential qualifications to have if you want to find employment, progress your career or go to college or university. Learning Concepts offer these courses free of charge to those who do not already hold them.

Do you want to work in the hospitality or catering industry? Well a qualification in Food Hygiene is an essential qualification to have. Learning Concepts offer this qualification free of charge to those who are currently unemployed and seeking employment.

These qualifications are a great way to update your CV, providing you with the opportunity to appear more desirable to potential employers.

Maybe you don’t need to update your skills for employment or training opportunities but want to help your kids complete their homework. Learning Concepts courses are designed around the national curriculum, which will show you everything you need to know.

As always, there is help on hand from your learner supporter, Heather. Heather is based in the Bishop Auckland centre to help all learners through their online learning courses. Heather has worked for Learning Concepts now for 3 ½ years. She is fully knowledgeable and confident in helping all learners throughout their learning journey at Learning Concepts. Heather, once being a learner at the centre herself, has a great understanding of how hard it is to get back into learning and is there to help you make your first steps.

So why not pop into The Four Clocks Centre and speak to Heather or give her a call on 01388 665301. Learning Concepts, based in the Braithwaite Room on the ground floor, are open Monday to Friday from 9am until 5pm.
