Family Contact Centre

A safe, friendly and neutral place where children of separated parents can meet their estranged parent or family member.

Bishop Auckland Family Contact Centre

The Bishop Auckland Family Contact Centre is a safe, friendly and neutral place where children of separated parents can meet their estranged parent or family member. The centre aims to help children whose parents have separated and where there is no reasonable alternative way for them to spend time with them. It is a child friendly environment, with toys, games and activities, so families can enjoy quality time together.

Family time takes place on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month 10am-12.

We are a supported contact centre and we are accredited to the National Association of Child Contact Centres; further information can be found on their website https://naccc.org.uk/

Arranging a Visit

Visits are normally by referral. Referrals can be made by a social worker, family mediator, solicitor, CAFCASS officer or by a court order. We also accept self referrals. The person making the referral fills out a form and sends it to the centres co-ordinator.
